1. Call to Order at 6:08 pm
2. Adoption of Previous:
Minutes were reviewed, with minor changes as identified to capitalization of the words PSAC and Edmonton were noted aswell proper spacing between new sentences. With these changes duly noted, motion to adopt these minutes.M/S/C – ?? missed who made motion and seconder
3. Old Business:
Discussion on what is required to open bank account for Area Council as new location and account will need to bere-opened. Darlene Lewis to contact branch with direction of what documents required, when depositing cheques, how longdue they hold deposits, and what portion of the funds do they hold back on a deposit.
Currently we have $1,000 cheque to be deposited and plans to purchase wreathe through the Poppy Association if bankingis established in time.
4. New Business
Discussion with EAC funds and budget, monies were set aside to purchase wreathe on behalf of EAC. Darlene graciouslyvolunteered to lay wreathe at the Butterdome on behalf of the EAC. Kosmas Doerschel raised a good point on why we dothis. Although we do not how this came about or when it started, it is something that all three committees (EAC/RWC &HRC) have down showing respect and remembering those who fought in the war and unions acknowledging the Veterans andthat we will remember.
5. New Business
As role of EAC please be reminded that we should be lobbying our MP’s and letting them know about our key issues aroundPhoenix.
Plan for Regional Foodbank drive for those who are affected by Phoenix and a Winter Drive for (socks, mitts and toques).Darlene to check with Maple Leaf as the drop-off place.
Adrian to setup a potential linking message for EAC.
6. Round tableCommittee Elections will be on December 10, 2019 with EAC at 5:30 pm and Christmas Social to begin at 7:00 pm.Was mentioned when we are asking for volunteers to do callout for eg. Upcoming elections whether it be Provincial,Federal etc. by only given two days notice that does not allow time for volunteers to organize childcare so to be justaware of this.
