- Finance update / Budget discussion and approval
- Wyatt reported that the executive did not yet have access to the bank account so that we did not know the account total, but that we had not had any expenses so far this year. He also said we would be collecting signatures from members of the executive tonight in order to update signatories at the bank and gain access to the account.
- Wyatt moves to table the budget until next meeting; seconded by Craig.
- Election
- Wyatt appointed Tina as the election chair.
- Tina called for nominations for the position of Secretary.
- Glenda nominated herself; seconded by Craig.
- No other nominations from the floor. Glenda was acclaimed.
- Events for 2023
- The attendees discussed the potential of hosting an event in the remaining time for 2023.
- Simon suggested attending a Manitoba Moose hockey game.
- Glenda said she had a friend who was a member of the Manitoba Nurses Union (MNU) and that the had hosted meal mixers, and suggested we try something like that.
- Craig said his component had previously hosted a personal finance education event for young workers. Glenda said she was aware of presentations on other benefits such as OAS, CPP, and Disability benefits, and that it might be good to cover that. Tina reminded the group that many young workers in the region were not part of the federal government, and if we did do an event like this it should also be relevant to members from Directly Chartered Locals.
- Wyatt suggested hosting a union trivia event.
- The group said we would consider options further and return to the topic later.

- Wyatt reminded people about the provincial election happening Oct 3, and that people could still do advanced voting.
- Glenda mentioned she voted early.
- Craig said that people could also volunteer for a pro-labour party, and that the Manitoba Federation of Labour and other union groups were out volunteering.
- Tina explained the steps that would be required to update banking signatories to the executive.
- Wyatt reminded people about the provincial election happening Oct 3, and that people could still do advanced voting.
