No business presented, discussed, nor placed on agenda.

Marc Danis introduced the guest speaker, Liz Van Reenen. Born with cerebral palsy, Liz defies all odds, and lives independently and successfully in a world that has often said “Liz can’t”. Liz has worked for disability organizations such as the Consulting Committee on the Status of Women with Disabilities as a workshop coordinator. As co-editor of Disability International Magazine, Liz used her editing and graphic design background to get the core message of ability out to the public, on an international level. Liz currently owns her own communications business, and specializes in disability sensitivity training.

Liz’s spoken and video facilitation of “I am Accessible” — Embracing Diversity in the Workplace” was exceptionally well received. The subsequent Q&A ran for 45 minutes and questions touched on many aspects of ability and disablity in the workplace.
