Prairies Area Council Representatives – Phoenix Meetings 19 Jan/2 Feb 23

This committee was formed from members of the Area Councils across the prairies.  Feb 28 will be 8 years of Phoenix and this committee would like to investigate a national enquiry into the Phoenix pay system.

PSAC is not planning on any actions as the bargaining and strike votes are taking priority.  Our PSAC Wpg reps are also tasked with strike votes and therefore their time is also limited.

It was decided by consensus that the WAC will participate in a day of Action at 17 Wing Wpg Whytewold gate at 12pm offering pizza or hotdogs.  The Phoenix banner and signs will be available.

WAC will then plan a lobby campaign and have members book a time with their MP and go as a delegation.  This is a more targeted approach and will include members in each riding.  With the elections in the fall this should raise attention.  Mona will work on the MP campaign dates with Ted to organize from now till sept.
