The Annual SFL Summer Camp, sponsored by the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour, will be held August 25 – 31, 2018 at Camp Easter Seal, Manitou Lake. See the attached SFL flyer for more information.
Funding is available to pay for at least one child of a PSAC member. Any member interested in submitting the name of a child between the ages of 13 to 16 should submit a short essay (approximately 100 words) answering the question, “What can a union do for me?”
The deadline to submit applications is Monday, June 11, 2018 at noon (CST). Applicants will be notified if their child has been selected for the subsidy. Please include your Component/DCL, Local, and contact information (phone and email). Following the camp, the selected participant(s) will be required to submit a report of activities to the Prairie Region Council.
As well as funding at least one child to the camp, there may be a possibility to cover the cost of a camp counselor, if one is required, to give members the opportunity to volunteer at the camp. If you are interested in this opportunity, please follow the same process outlined above and identify that you would like to be considered as a camp counselor.
