Sandra Ahenakew Bio

Sandra Ahenakew was elected as the Aboriginal Peoples Rep at the PSAC Prairie Region Triennial Convention in April 2017.

Sandra became involved with the union after taking the Alliance Facilitator Training with Judy Shannon. She’s held positions of President and Vice-President on her Local, the UNE Human Rights Rep for the Saskatchewan Region, and Secretary on both the PSAC Regional Women’s Committee and the South Saskatchewan Human Rights Committee.

Sandra has a Bachelor of Arts in Indian Studies and a certificate of Indian Communication Arts.

She has worked for the federal government for 15 years and is currently working as a Research Assistant maintaining 70 First Nation Community Profiles.
