
Marianne Hladun was re-elected as the Regional Executive Vice-President for the Prairie Region at the 9th Triennial Prairie Region Convention, June 09 -11, 2023.
Marianne has held the position since 2012 after Sister Robyn Benson was elected PSAC National President. She was first elected at the 6th Triennial Convention in 2014 and re-elected in 2017.
An active PSAC member for over 25 years, Marianne’s comprehensive union experience spans various positions, committees and bargaining teams. Marianne co-chairs the Standing Education Committee (NBoD). She is responsible for the Royal Canadian Mint and Treasury Board PA and Common Issues bargaining through Alliance Executive Committee (AEC) portfolio assignments.
Marianne brings her wealth of experience to regional and national bargaining, having been a part of over 31 regional bargaining units. She will continue to prioritize regional union solidarity, political action, and coalition building to ensure the issues of Prairies members are heard at every level of government.
“It is truly an honour to be re-elected to represent PSAC members across the Prairies and I am ready and eager to tackle the challenges we have ahead of us,” says Hladun. “The last few years is providing us with valuable insight on how to build and strengthen the union and I look forward to moving us to the future together.”
