Dear Sisters and Brothers,
As June approaches, so do Pride festivities throughout the Prairie Region. Pride is an opportunity to celebrate diversity in the GLBT community, and recognize the contributions and accomplishments of our GLBT sisters and brothers.
Just days ago, France became the 14th country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage when the gay marriage and adoption law was passed. In the US, 12 states have legalized same-sex marriage including three in 2013 alone.
The fight for GLBT rights and equality is a global issue, and one that we are proud to support and participate in. I encourage all PSAC members to join us in the fight by participating in community events and standing together in solidarity. Contact your regional office for details on how you can get involved and participate.
