This is workshop will help you to handle yourself in a crisis in your workplace or home and in the union work you do. You will learn decision-making skills to match the level of responce to the risk of the crisis, focusing on the least-restrictive responce to ensure the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security of Everyone.  This will include recognizing the stages of an escalating crisis and learning evidence-based techniques to appropriately de-escalate.  Providing the skills to safely disengage and intervene in crisis situations.

WRWC felt this course training would benefit committee members, both in the union work they do and within their own personal lives, teaching de-escalation techniques as well as restrictive and nonrestrictive intervention.  Many of us come across situations, whether that’s someone with road rage, someone yelling or an upset member or manager, this workshop helps you learn how to deescalate events that may take place in your daily lives.
