The Winnipeg Human Rights Committee will be holding their next meeting on Thursday, October 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm by Zoom
All members in good standing who identify as Indigenous, Persons with Disabilities, Racially Visible, and LGBTQS2+ are welcome to attend.

What does the Human Rights Committee do? The Committee implements and actions union priorities and campaigns (i.e. MMIWG, inclusion of trans people in human rights legislation, employment equity, and accommodation of members with disabilities). It provides a safe space where equity seeking members can discuss issues and educate, advocate from an intersectional lens. It’s goal is to empower equity-seeking members to participate in the union, their workplaces and their communities and to make the union more inclusive.
Note: The Committee will be having an election for Vice-Chair and Secretary.
