Kim asked at this meeting for consensus to send out the poster for volunteers (via union ware) and the poster for the organizations (Megan Carley will deliver). By show of hands – Consensus – approved. Once Kim receives a list of volunteers a schedule will be completed and sent to all committee members and the volunteers. Details of even for volunteers: Friday from 4pm – 7pm will be for set up, Saturday opened from 10 am – 4 pm for the “shoppers” and Sunday from 11am – 1pm to clean up. A budget of $1050 was requested for this event, this has been approved and the treasurer’s report reflects this deposit. It is notable that this event was planned to happen 4 times during the calendar year, however there will only be this event so all the funds will not need to be utilized.

A forecasted budget was submitted recognizing any women days that an event can be held by the committee (i.e. lobbying). Committee came up with some ideas for this event, such as getting members to submit a poem, pictures, art work, etc. on what is International Women’s Day mean to you, and have a draw of all entries to win a prize. As well Carm suggested to get in contact with the other six Women’s committee’s and see what they might have planned or work on doing a “webinar” event.
5.2 (c) Team Building Ideas –
Kim updated the committee on the team building of the outside craft painting rocks. The event was held on June 12, 2022 @ 1 pm at Kim’s home. Elder Heather Poitras provided a teaching for all that attended. This event was well accepted and all members stated they enjoyed the teachings, the activity and the networking.
