Present: Khalid Ahmad (Chair), Kyle Berry (Co-Chair), Craig Adolphe (Treasurer), George Liu (Secretary), Tina Matias-Bouchard (PSAC Rep), Gus Mardli, Vanessa Breckman, Janette Husak(RRC Rep), Heather Graboski, Dallas Connolly, Frances Bitney, Arden Raaen, Craig Adolphe

1. Call to Order at 5:37pm by chair Khalid Ahmad

2. Land Acknowledgement by Craig Adolphe

3. Anti-Harassment Statement by George Liu

4. Introduction:  Everyone gave a brief self-introduction.  

5. Adoption of Agenda: Introduced by Khalid and all agreed

6. March 9, 2023 minutes approval: All agreed

7. Treasurer Report: Introduced by Craig, $190.82 in the bank account,

8. Report on Pride Parade: It was the biggest one ever. Overall, it went well.

9. Videos on Israel-Palestine conflict: everyone watched the video individually and shared their thoughts.

10. Other Business:

  • Tina: VIRTUAL Regional Committee Training – Oct 12 & 13, 10:30 am -5pm. It’s opened for all executives of committees. The training includes financial management of committees, event organizing, mobilizing committee members, and leadership skills.
  • Janette: Indigenous women are not disposable, CLC indigenous lobby day in early October; Truth and reconciliation day along with orange day on September 30, and sisters in spirit day on October 4.
  • Gus: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation panel discussion and beading session on September 20th and 28th.
  • Tina: We should have three more meetings in this year, one for every month.
