5. Chairperson’s report presented byKelsey Dreaver
- I do not have much to update since we have just met last month. I have been attending training that is listed in the fall education schedule that was sent out back in August. Some of which include Unionism on Turtle Island, Regional Committee Training, Advocacy and Representation Course and will be attending the Unions Work for Women in Regina this coming weekend and the in person Grievance Handling the following weekend.
 
6. Vice-chairperson’s Report presented by Beatrisha Cheechoo
- Attended the Unionism on Turtle Island which she highly recommends. Has completed many other relevant courses representing the Indigenous communities. Will be attending the Grievance Handling course and as well as the Unions Work for Women course in Regina. Also attended the lobbying day in Ottawa.

8. Treasurer’s Report
- No report presented as there has been no changes since last month. A balance of $874.24 currently in the account.
 
9. Budget Discussion
- Executive met over lunch one day to discuss ideas on how to amend the budget since activities did not take place. Ideas put forward were having a sweet grass presentation, Indigenous war veteran presenter, beading workshop, holiday donations to the Prince Albert and Saskatoon Friendship Centres and care packages for the unhoused community members. These are still waiting on approval and review
 
10. Round Table
- Janette Husak attended the lobbying day to bring awareness to safe drinking water, MMIWG and Residential School Children and Families . She was able to speak to different MP’s about these issues and being more awareness to the different actions. More awareness and focus need to be brought to these important issues and stressed the fact that we need to lobby our MP’s to take action. Also attended the PSAC Equity Conference in Montreal, a truth and reconciliation rally was held, also discussion around the different issues such as clean drinking water, Missing and Murdered Indigenous People and Residential School Children and Families.
 - Beatrisha Cheechoo, Kelsey Dreaver and Janette Husak will work on drafting a lobbying letter to send to our local MP’s and other members of Parliament.
 - Steven Whiteman and Beatrisha Cheechoo to be added as signatories for the bank account at North Diamond Credit Union. Prudence McKenzie to be removed from the account as she has stepped down as the Chair for the Regional Indigenous Peoples Circle.
 - Jacqueline Maurice asked for a proposed date to have an in person event in the Prince Albert area.
