This three-day course will provide new union stewards with essential framework for handling grievances. We will develop participants’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in effectively solving problems at the workplace prior to filing grievances. This online session will help build the technical skills such as identifying, investigating, writing up, and presenting grievances. Participants will gain a better understanding of how to work with members at the initial stages of the grievance procedure, and how to mobilize members around workplace problems.
**ALL COURSE HOURS ARE MANDATORY FOR COMPLETION AND REIMBURSEMENT OF PER DIEMS AND LOSS OF SALARY
The hours of the course are as follows but with several health breaks from the screen, throughout the day:
- Friday, December 10th, 2021: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Saturday, December 11th, 2021: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Monday, December 13th, 2021: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
