Strike Preparation Training for Executive Members (Open to CEIU Executive Members In Southern Saskatchewan)

This advanced training is targeted specifically to activists, leaders and Local executive members who will be preparing and executing strike action/activities. This training is for those identified within the Locals as the organizers of strike actions. PSAC Staff will communicate directly with Local Executives for their participation.

The goal of the training is to assist locals to formulate an action plan to organize their members, ahead of a strike vote and subsequent strike action. The goal of this training is to ‘Understand Strikes’ (what is a strike, strike principles, goals of a strike, challenges our members face during strikes) and ‘Strike Administration and Responsibilities’ (strike structure, pickets and picket lines, essential services, mobilizing for success).

*****Please note that this meeting is not part of the TB strike votes and is not mandatory. You would need to register and attend a separate strike vote meeting. This is to provide additional knowledge of the current situation around bargaining. *****
