  1. Call to Order

@ approximately 6:05 PM

  1. Introductions

Committee members completed round of introductions and discussed the structure of the regional
women’s committee and Prairie Council Representative, Sherry Hunt, provided an overview of some
regional and national priorities.

Cherry Huen nominated and acclaimed to position. M/S by Amanda Wakeford, Zainab Takuma

Sukhpal Sangha nominated and acclaimed to position. M/S by Cherry Huen, Amanda Wakeford

  1. Approval of the Agenda:
    Committee approved Agenda as presented.
  2. Review and approval of the previous meeting’s minutes:
    Committee approved minutes for April 23, 2024 meeting. Discussion surrounding missing last
    names/local of 2 attendees. Committee felt it was best to include their names on the minutes with a
    notation that last name/local was not captured.
  3. Funding allocation:

Committee discussed whether events will be possible to plan so late in the year. PSAC Staff Rep
advised that in consultation with the REVP, the committee would not be required to submit a budget
proposal for the 2024 year if they do not have any plans in undertaking activities, however 4
meetings for the year are required to retain good standing.
Committee has bank balance of $490.97 as of Oct 31/24, and bank signatories are required to be
updated within 30 days of new positions elected.

  1. Recruitment:
    Committee discussed trying to grow the Calgary RWC and members will attempt to bring others for
    future meetings and the AGM when scheduled.
  2. Old Business:
    Committee reflected on some of the previous discussions and goals, and decided it would be ideal to
    build a plan that can be executed in the future.

    Dec 11, 2024 @ 6:00 PM
