Janette Husak was re-elected at the Prairie Region Triennial Convention in June 2026. Janette is Cree from the Piapot First Nation.
She works as a Funding Services Officer for Indigenous Services Canada where she actively works with First Nations on capacity, provide funding and review reporting. She has been employed with ISC for over 25 years.
Janette has been involved with the union since 2005. She previously served as the ARVP-UNE for Saskatchewan and Human Rights Rep UNE SK region. And has served as both NIPC Rep and the Chair for the RIPC in Prince Albert.
In her free time, Janette enjoys bowling, going for walks and going to the movies.
