Westman & Northern Area Council Meeting

The Westman Area Council invites you to its meeting on Tuesday Nov. 3, 2026, at 6:00pm in-person or by Zoom. The area of jurisdiction of the Westman Area Council shall be determined by the Prairie Region Council and currently covers the North-West portion of the province.  The area from the Saskatchewan border, along the US border, West of Highway 34 up to Highway 16 then up west of Highway 50 to Reykjavik and anything North of the line from Reykjavik along road 325 across to the Ontario border.

Area Councils are designed to serve as liaison for Locals or Branches of Components, DCLs, and constitutionally recognized regional committees. The role of the Area Council shall consist of such activities as community, social and recreational affairs within the communities in which the Area Council functions; promotion and coordination of PSAC campaigns assigned to them by the NBoD or the AEC, such as political action; promotion of the Manitoba Federation of Labour and all District Labour Councils in the area of jurisdiction; dissemination of information as well as workshop and seminar-type education in matters directly relating to the functions of the Area Council.
