Half the world lives under the nominal protection of human rights – the other half does not.  There are many egregious examples of peoples living in bare existence and yet all 193 nations have signed the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

What do we need to do to protect our access to Human Rights and ensure Human Rights are respected for all.  What does it mean to expand our understanding of human rights?
