Calgary Regional Women’s Committee – Annual General Meeting Notice

The Calgary Area Regional Women’s Committee invites all PSAC members that identify as women to our Annual General Meeting on July 29, 2026.
(If this does not apply to you, please disregard, although we would appreciate and encourage you to share with members who may be interested in joining this meeting!)

This is a virtual meeting, so we can bring women together who reside in and around Calgary cities and towns (Please note, there is also a Regional Women’s Committee in Southern Alberta for members in Lethbridge and surrounding area).

The PSAC Regional Women’s Committees (RWCs) provide an opportunity for PSAC members that identify as women to organize in their regions and work together collectively. They give recognition and credibility to women’s rights as an important concern of the union.  Committees aim to inform and educate women on the political, social, economic, and workplace issues that affect them.  RWCs also speak for women with a strong, common voice and advocate on policies that promote women’s rights.  They also mobilize women to participate in the union and to take action on issues and empower women with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to exercise effective leadership. 

Come join us as we re-establish our Committee Executive and help us to shape the future of this committee! Meet some of your sisters interested in participating in the Calgary Area RWC, and have fun while gaining knowledge, skills and confidence (or polish the skills you already have) so that you can actively work with your union and communities, while gaining valuable effective leadership skills…you never know where participating in the RWC can take you!
