Michael Weisgerber Bio

Michael Weisgerber was elected the North-West Manitoba Geographic Representative at the recent 2026 Prairie Region Triennial Convention. 

Michael currently works for Department of National Defence in CFB Shilo. For the past 21 years, he has held the position of Base Hazmat Officer, in which he advises on life cycle management of hazardous materials, provides training, and responds to large hazmat incidents.

He first became involved with PSAC through his work on the Westman Area Council, which he is still actively involved in. And has previously served in this capacity on the PRC. He has also served in a variety of positions in his component, including steward, Vice-President, and currently serves as President.

When Michael isn’t working hard for members he enjoys coaching football, camping, bike riding, hiking and sits on the Board of Directors for Rockin’ the Fields of Minnedosa.
