8.	Round Table: Resolutions What is a resolution? A resolution is a statement that describes an issue or problem and proposes action to respond to the issue or problem. Reached out to various committees for resolutions we can support. Women’s committee resolution: Funding for mature women’s research and education -does not fully affect young workers but future planning. -Leave out of vote, not a priority for young workers. Local 50071: elimination of union-funded alcohol. -cost side, drinking is not as big in the younger communities, domestic violence concerns. Not full ban on alcohol, but drinks are not necessary for union events, education or conventions. Lethbridge women’s committee: employment insurance and maternity leave amendments. For pregnancy loss at 20 weeks. -big topic in young worker discussions. -Apply to young workers conference (April 17-19^th), call out this week.
