As we prepare for back to school it means Labour Day is just around the corner. Labour Day is more than just the unofficial end of summer, it is a day to honour the hard work, resilience, and collective power of workers across Canada. It reminds us of the struggles and victories that shaped the rights we value today.
These gains didn’t happen overnight, and they didn’t happen alone. They were won by workers standing together, in solidarity, through action and advocacy. And that work continues. Every day, unions and members are pushing forward for equity, respect, and stronger protections in workplaces and communities across the country.
This Labour Day, take a moment to celebrate the victories we’ve achieved, reflect on the challenges ahead, and recognize the collective strength that drives our movement forward.
Together, we are, and always will be, stronger.
