The Indigenous People’s Gathering is an opportunity to bring together Indigenous individuals within PSAC Prairies to strengthen connections, share experiences, and amplify Indigenous voices. Set in the beautiful Métis Crossing in Smoky Lake, Alberta, this event, taking place from June 20 to 22, 2025, is an opportunity for Indigenous people to gather, network, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Focused on leadership and advocacy, the gathering will offer a series of hands-on workshops aimed at empowering participants to become more actively involved with the Union. These workshops will provide tools and strategies to increase engagement, foster community-driven advocacy, and amplify Indigenous leadership. The event is built around creating space for attendees to share, listen, and learn from one another. The gathering emphasizes solidarity and collaboration, highlighting the importance of lifting Indigenous voices in every aspect of life, from governance to community.
Whether you’re looking to build leadership skills, connect with others in the community, or find new ways to advocate for Indigenous rights and causes, the Indigenous People’s Gathering provides a supportive and dynamic space for all attendees.
