Brandon University Workers – Pizza and AGM – Oct 11th @5:30pm

Attention: Brandon University Workers!!

We are holding an AGM on October 11^th at 5:30pm for all workers at Brandon University in a PSAC represented position. Those who work in jobs such as Marker, TA, Residence Assistant, Student Assistant, Research Assistant and others are invited to join us for PIZZA and an AGM.

During this meeting, we will be looking for members who want to take on leadership roles of President, Vice-President, Chief Shop Steward, Treasurer, and Secretary. You may already have experience in these roles or you may want to use the experienced gained to bolster your resume for your future career path. 

This is a valuable opportunity to gain transferable skills while helping colleagues with issues and meeting with BU administration to work through processes. This includes but not limited to harassment and discrimination issues, health and safety, pay issues and everything in between that takes place in an employee-employer relationship. Those who sit on the executive also have the ability to learn leadership and mediation skills, financial literacy, and time management to name a few.

Please come out and join us to hear more about what your Union does, how being on the Executive is beneficial, and the other things that the Union provides such as scholarship and educational opportunities.
