1. Welcome to all / Call to Order / Land Acknowledgement / Harassment Statement:
Kim Cardinal called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm and acknowledged the Land agreement. Charmaine read the Harassment Statement.
2. This Agenda – Adoption:
Kim requested adoption of the agenda – Consensus – Approved.
3. Approval and Posting of Minutes:
Consensus – Approved.
4. Treasurer’s report:
Opening balance $2,344.35. $150.00 – Elder Honorium for the team building rock painting on June 19, 2022. $300.00+$56.87 = 356.87 – Women Helping Women Event. Closing balance $1,837.48.
Chair stated that most of the items that were brought will be used for future events and does not see any more additional costs for this event. All items are stored at Megan’s home as there was nowhere to store them at the PSAC office.
5. Chair update:
16 Day challenge – Dec 6th is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This day is to commemorate the murder of 14 young women at Polytechnique Montreal 30 years ago. Any ideas of events we can do, please submit to Kim, Chair @ cardika@hotmail.com

The Women Helping Women was a great success held on November 18-20, 2022. There were many PSAC members that had come and volunteered. A huge donation from several members, which the committee started collecting in May of 2022. Pictures of the event can be found on the PSAC Website. Thank you to all who came out to help. A huge thank you to Megan Carly for being lead of this event and storing the donations and transporting them. We had a few “shoppers”, mostly of the women were from EFRY. Megan, had completed some follow up with the organizations that were contacted and some of the concerns were, transportation, paying for parking to the PSAC Office where the event was held. Several ideas regarding setting up future events was discussed by all in attendance and it was agreed that we would set out into the communities and hold community events for women in those communities that are struggling. Chair, suggested that if anyone can reach out to organizations that our event could help and get some dates and locations to share with the committee for future events.
