On November 10, 2017 the PSAC and CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) reached a tentative agreement.
The Public Service Alliance of Canada will be holding an electronic vote for members of the CFIA to ratify the tentative agreement.
The voting period will open on January 22, 2018 and will close February 22, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Voting instructions will be emailed on January 22, 2018 and mailed via Canada Post to members with no email on file. As per Regulation 15 you must attend a meeting prior to casting a vote. Meetings will be held by webinar for all members, in addition to face-to-face meetings organized in some regions. Please note: Members will need to cast their vote on their personal electronic devices. Paper ballots and computers will not be available during the face to face meetings.

The in person meetings will last approximately one hour. The eVoting company has asked members to wait at least one hour following their attendance at a session before attempting to use their PIN. This allows the list manager to finalize their spreadsheet, send to the voting company, and processing on their end. New members will be processed and may take up to 24 hours before being contacted with their PIN and voting instructions. Please call the Regional Office in your area if you have not received instructions by January 26, 2018.
