An invitation to active Union Stewards: The PSAC Prairie region will be hosting a series of 1-day “Building the Union through Steward’s Work” events that include an evening meeting to develop the Prairies 2016-2018 Regional Education Plan.
With the federal election only a few days away, PSAC members and Canadians from coast to coast to coast are thinking seriously about heading to the polls, if they haven’t voted already.
In Westman, PSAC members are helping giving local folks that extra push to the polls. In Brandon, PSAC-sponsored election coffee sleeves are hugging the take-out orders at coffee shops across the city.
Are you an Aboriginal, Inuit or Métis PSAC member who would like to learn more about their union? If yes, we invite you to apply for the PSAC Prairies National Aboriginal Peoples’ Circle (NAPC) course.
This 3 hour workshop is targeted to Local executive members and activists. The goal of the course is to assist these members in having important one on one conversations with in their members and communities on key election topics.
By the end of the workshop participants will know the key issues that Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Canadian Labour Congress have identified for the 2015 federal election campaign; feel more confident in having political conversation with members and be able to make strategic choices about political conversations.
"Earlier this year, the Conservative government made changes to the requirements for voting. Even if you have voted in past elections, you may not be registered."
To avoid any problems on election day, make sure you’re registered and you have the necessary identification!
