 Dear Brothers and Sisters:As you may already know, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty will be unveiling the 2011 Federal Budget tomorrow, Tues. Mar. 22, at 4:00 p.m. EST.It is widely suspected that the Harper government is looking to combat the $56-billion deficit with massive job cuts, something myself and the PSAC proper vehemently denounce. We fight everyday to protect our public services and, Brothers and Sisters, that battle wages on.

 The March 4 federal budget freezes federal departmental spending. Our union will fight any cuts and any proposed reduction in workforce. We will enforce our job security rights in our collective agreements.
