Harper's “New Government of Canada” believes women's equality has been achieved.
So in October 2006, they removed “equality” from the mandate of Status of Women
Canada (SWC) and they are cutting Status of Women Canada budgets. These attacks
are outrageous. To find out just what you can do to help fight back, please check out the

in a campaign with our coalition partners to ensure that Women's Equality does not fall

NO ZONES CAMPAIGN 
No More Pay Zones!
PSAC members who are paid based on where they live, not for the work they do, are
speaking out against zone rates of pay and in support of our Union's fight to eliminate

Sister Sheila Liikala, Brothers Alex Woolgar and Howie Owen seen wearing their No
Zone T-shirt on Wednesday, 5 March 2008. Sister Sheila and Brother Alex are
employed by 17 Wing Cleaning Services and Brother Howie is employed by 17 Wing
Supply. All three are employed at the Thunder Bay Armoury in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
